Karianne Sundahl is spearheading the significant initiative on artificial intelligence at Storebrand, demonstrating her profound capabilities in leading technological advancements. Her background as a civil engineer in industrial mathematics and statistics has been foundational in her journey through various roles in data and insights. Her career trajectory includes impactful positions at Telenor, Vipps, and now at Storebrand. In 2023, Karianne’s contributions and leadership in tech were acknowledged when she was named one of Norway’s 50 foremost tech women.

Currently serving as the Senior Vice President – Head of Data & Analytics at Storebrand since July 2023, Karianne is responsible for overseeing and guiding the company’s data and analytics strategies. Her role is pivotal in harnessing the power of data to drive intelligent business solutions and innovations.

Before joining Storebrand, she was the Head of Data and Insight at Vipps MobilePay, where she served for seven months starting January 2023. In this role, Karianne led the teams responsible for gleaning valuable insights from data, significantly contributing to the company’s growth and development.

At Vipps, she held the position of Product Manager – Data and Insight, and later as Head of Customer Insight, where she played a crucial role in understanding customer behaviors and preferences, translating these into actionable business strategies. Her expertise in data analysis and customer insights were critical in driving Vipps’ market success and customer satisfaction.

Karianne’s experience also includes a tenure at BankAxept – part of BankID BankAxept AS, where she served as a Senior Analyst, delving deep into financial data analysis and contributing significantly to the company’s analytical capabilities. Her time at Telenor as a Senior Analyst in Financial Services further highlights her extensive experience in the telecom and financial sectors. Here, she was involved in building and deploying credit scorecards, training in fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorism financing frameworks.
